I'm a front end developer who focuses on making things faster and easier to use, whether that's for the people using an app or the developers who have to work in the code after me. I am most experienced with React, TypeScript, and Next.js, and I've worked with and refactored enough legacy code to know that piling on more code isn't a fix, it's just another bandaid. It's always worth the effort to dig in, figure out why something feels off, and fix it at the root.

The most-visited page used to choke and fail to load on the largest questions. I rebuilt it with server-side rendering in Next.js and got it to a Lighthouse score of 96 to 100 across nearly every question page.

I replatformed auth onto Keycloak and rebuilt the signup flow, and we got through the whole migration without forcing a single user to log out. It led to the most signups and first-time question askers the site had seen in years.

I helped migrate a large custom Java CMS to a modern tech stack. Rebuilding core functionality and pages piece by piece, keeping all core functionality running the whole time for the people depending on it.
Blue Line Solution
I built a public-facing Electron and React app that let customers manage 360 degree panoramic video from their own devices, and it updated itself automatically so they always had the latest version.
